In 2025, that mission showed up through conversation, consistency, education, and support. This report reflects how the #OILife community came together over the past year and the impact created through shared effort, trust, and participation.

At its core, this work is about spreading awareness, gaining acceptance, and sharing the awesomeness that is O.I.
#OILife GROUP: Building Real Community
In 2025, 10 #OILife GROUP meetings were hosted, each designed to provide a welcoming, judgment-free space for people living with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (O.I.).
- Average attendance ranged from 8 to 15 people
- Meetings included both returning community members and first-time attendees
- The focus remained on connection, not perfection
Standout #OILife GROUP Meetings
Several gatherings stood out as particularly meaningful for the community:
- Special Guest Event: Hosting Jay and Pamela, well-known O.I. advocates from TLC’s Jay & Pamela, created space for shared stories, lived experience, and open conversation.
- Mental Wellbeing Check-In: A dedicated meeting focused on emotional health, burnout, and the often-unspoken mental load of living with O.I.
- Accessible Travel Conversation: A fun Jeopardy-Style game and discussion around navigating travel, planning ahead, and adapting logistics with O.I.
- Friendsgiving #OILife GROUP (November): A brand new community gathering centered on gratitude, reflection, and connection.
These meetings reinforced an important truth. The strength of the O.I. community is found in shared experience and mutual support.
O.I. Awareness Week 2025: Awareness With Intention
O.I. Awareness Week 2025 was approached as more than a symbolic moment. It was an opportunity to educate, connect, and elevate understanding.
- A dedicated blog post highlighted the impact and intention behind the week
- Educational and storytelling content was shared across social platforms
- Over 20 O.I. Awareness shirts were sold, helping spread visibility and support
- Tony DJ’d for the final live virtual event held by the OIF on the final night of O.I. awareness week
Awareness is not just about being seen. It’s about being understood. This year’s focus emphasized the lived experience of O.I. while celebrating the strength and individuality of the community.
Supporting the O.I. Community Beyond Events
One of the most meaningful aspects of #OILife happens quietly, outside of scheduled meetings.
Throughout 2025, people reached out directly through the website, email, and social media seeking guidance and support.
- Approximately 5 to 10 inquiries per month
- Topics included:
- Movement and fitness questions
- Pain relief and pain management
- Finding qualified doctors and navigating healthcare
- Adapting everyday life with O.I.
- General community support and reassurance
When combined with meetings, content, and conversations, #OILife reached hundreds of people in 2025 and facilitated dozens of powerful conversations that extended far beyond a Zoom room.
Movement, Coaching, and Expanded Access
In 2025, movement continued to play an important role within #OILife, not as a requirement, but as an option for those seeking support.
- 15 to 20 people with O.I. joined #UNBREAKABLE BODY coaching programs
- The Energy Elevator ran weekly throughout the year, providing consistent access to safe, supportive movement
Rather than focusing on class size, the emphasis remained on reliability and trust. Knowing a space exists can be just as important as attending it.
International Collaboration With Care4Bones
A new collaboration with Care4Bones in the Netherlands opened #UNBREAKABLE BODY and the Energy Elevator to hundreds more people within the O.I. community.
This partnership expanded access internationally while maintaining the same thoughtful, community-first approach.
Scholarships and Financial Access
Access remained a central value throughout 2025.
- A collaboration with Flex For Access provided two scholarships during the summer
- Individual donations supported two additional scholarships in Q4 of 2025
- These scholarships removed financial barriers and created new opportunities for people with O.I. to access coaching and movement support
More scholarship opportunities are planned as #OILife continues to grow.
Digital Reach and Education
Education and visibility continued to expand through digital platforms.
- The #OILife YouTube channel surpassed 1,000 subscribers in February 2025
- The year closed at 1,108 subscribers, with steady growth continuing
- Content offered education, shared stories, and entry points for connection for those not yet ready to attend live events
Digital access remains a vital part of reaching people where they are.
What 2025 Reinforced
2025 reaffirmed several important truths about the O.I. community:
- Smaller spaces can create deeper connection
- Being available matters as much as being visible
- People value conversation, not just content
- Trust is built through consistency and care
The impact of #OILife this year was measured not only in numbers, but in relationships.

- Continue strengthening community connection
