Flip the Switch: Embrace Your Disability

MY transformation began when I accepted and embraced my disability. Instead of denying or hiding it, I recognized that embracing my condition was the first step toward overcoming it.

My disability is considered “invisible”. With that said, I spent the first 40 years of my life denying it. I was living my life saying to myself, and others, that I didn’t have a disability, yet I was still living with the consequences of it. Broken bones, chronic pain, and other physical and mental manifestations appeared throughout my years.

By acknowledging your disability and accepting it as a part of who you are, you can start the journey toward empowerment and self-acceptance.

Break Mental and Emotional Barriers

Physical disabilities often come with mental and emotional barriers that can hold us back. My personal story can teach you the importance of pushing through these barriers and challenging the limitations we set for ourselves.
